Shimla, also referred to as the queen of the hills, is the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh and also among one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Located at an altitude of more than 2000 mts, Shimla is best known for its majestic hills, pleasant summer weather, snowy winters, thick forests, apple orchards, happening mall road and the fine architecture built during the british times.

Day 1: Arrival in Shimla.

Arrive in Shimla and our representative will assist you in getting checked in the hotel. You can choose to spend your evening relaxing at the mall road or exploring the nearby popular attractions like Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Ridge and Lakkar Bazar. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2: Shimla – Hassan valley – Kufri – Jakhoo.

After a sumptuous breakfast get ready and start your full day Shimla sightseeing tour. Explore some of the best sights in and around Shimla like Jakhoo Temple  Hassan Valley and Kufri.

Jakhoo temple is located on the Jakhoo hill, the highest point in Shimla City. Jakhoo temple is an ancient temple dedicated to lord Hanuman. According to the Ramayna, Lord Hanuman has stopped at this location while on the search of Sanjivini booti. The temple also has a 108 feet statue of lord Hanuman which is among one of the highest statues of lord Hanuman in the world.  

Kufri is Located around 16 kms from the Shimla city center It is a major tourist attraction famous for its zoo, amusement park and the beautiful vistas. Enjoy the horse riding tour and the adventure activities at the Mahasu top. Kufri is also known for its snow covered vistas and ski activity in the winters.

Hasan valley also known as the Green valley is a popular landmark between Shimla and Kufri. It is renowned for the magnificent views of the thick Deodar forest. Hasan valley is a delight for photography lovers and has the ideal settings for a memorable picture of your Shimla tour.

If time permits, enjoy your evening at the mall road. Overnight stay at the hotel.

SHIMLA – NARKANDA- HATU PEAK- SHIMLA

After breakfast, start your journey towards Narkanda. On the way up to Narkanda enjoy the scenic views  of the beautiful valleys and the  fruit  orchards. At Shilaru, see the highest hockey ground of Asia.

Narkanda is a small rustic town located on the old hindustan Tibet road around 65 kms from Shimla city. Located at an altitude of 2700 mts, Narkanda is famous for its scenic beauty, cool weather, fruit orchards, beautiful vistas and ski slopes in winter.  Hatu peak is located at an altitude of around 3400 mts and is around 7 kms from Narkanda. There is a beautiful temple at the top of the peak dedicated to Hatu mata. The temple is located on a narrow road upto the peak and is only accessible during the summer months, and is closed due to heavy snowfall in the winters.

SHIMLA- NALDERA- MASHOBRA- SHIMLA

After breakfast, start your journey towards Mashobra and Naldehra.

Mashobra is a quaint little town located around 12 kms from the Shimla city center. Mashobra is famous for its peaceful surroundings and thick Deodar forest. Many luxury hotels are located in the vicinity of Mashobra and is also famous for one of the presidential retreats in India. Craignano Nature Park is a newly added attraction in Mashobra and is famous for its beautiful gardens, nature walks, peaceful surroundings and small fun activities for children.

Naldehra is further 12 kms ahead of Mashobra and is famous for its spectacular 18 hole golf course, which is also one of the oldest golf clubs in India. The place is picture perfect and one can also enjoy activities like forest walks, horse riding, zip lining and Burma bridge.

SHIMLA- CHAIL- SADHUPUL- SHIMLA

After breakfast, start your journey towards Sadhupul and Chail.

Sadhupul is a popular picnic spot situated along the Ashwini stream near Kandaghat and is around 40kms from Shimla City center. The place is famous for its riverside camps, cafes and restaurants and has good vistas if someone wants to spend time along the stream.

Chail is a popular tourist attraction and once was the capital of Maharaja of Patiala. Chail has many tourist attractions like Kali Tibba temple, Chail Palace, Chail wildlife sanctuary and also has the highest cricket pitch in the world.

Shimla Local sights ( Annadale Army museum, Indian institute of Advanced studies, Summer Hill Railway station,Sankat Mochan Temple, Tara Devi Temple )

After breakfast, enjoy the local sightseeing of Shimla.

Annadale Army Heritage Museum is located near the Annadale ground. The museum is dedicated to the Indian army and showcases the history of the Indian Army for more than 2000 years. Surrounded by the thick deodar forest there is also a beautiful nag devta temple located near the museum.

Indian Institute of Advanced Studies:-  Previously known as the Viceregal lodge IIAS is one of the most beautiful and important buildings in the history of Shimla. The place was the home of the viceroy of India during the British times when Shimla was the summer capital of India.

Summer Hill Railway Station:-  Summer hill railway station is a quiet little railway station located on the UNESCO world Heritage Kalka-Shimla railway line. The railway station is located near the IIAS and once was the private station of the viceroy of India.

Sankat Mochan Temple:- Sankat mochan is a famous temple of Lord Hanuman. Located near the pine forest, the temple has spectacular views of the hills of the Shimla.

Tara Devi Temple:- Tara devi temple is around 12 kms from the city center on the top of the hill. The temple is dedicated to the goddess and is an old temple built in the 18th century. Tara devi is also one of the most visited religious sites in the vicinity of Shimla.

Day 4 Tour Ends

Relish your breakfast and check out the hotel. Our driver would get you transferred from the hotel  to the airport/bus/railway station for your onward journey.
